Step-by-step guide

Prepare support before you need it

Build a personal safety plan, keep trusted contacts ready, and understand exactly what happens when Help Now prepares a call, message or email.

If you may be in immediate dangerUse your local emergency service now. Mind Your Mood does not monitor you, contact emergency services, or automatically contact a trusted person.

Add an item to your safety plan

  1. In the left navigation, select Safety Plan.
  2. Select the section you want to complete: warning signs, calming steps, coping methods, safe places, what others can do, reminders, or support for suicidal thoughts.
  3. Select Add item.
  4. Answer the prompt for that section, then select Add.

To change an item, select it, choose Edit item, update the text and save. To remove it, select it and use the remove action, then confirm.

Coping guidanceSelect Coping guidance, then choose a topic from the list. This is general information, not diagnosis, treatment or emergency support.

Add a trusted contact

  1. From Safety Plan, select Trusted contacts.

  4. Save the card.

  2. Select Add audio reminder and choose the audio file.

  3. Select a trusted contact available for that method.

Review the message before continuing.
The registered email app opens next.
